Nova Systems' Helicopter Program aspires to enable battlefield-ready end-user capability by delivering and enhancing rotary wing assets and support systems. We do this by engaging with clients within the end user units and program offices to understand their needs, risks and issues in taking new complex equipment and systems to the operational domain. Nova provides engineering, system safety, weapons integration, test and evaluation, certification, airworthiness and transition into service services in the rotary wing domain which enable capability and reduce risk inherent in complex system acquisition. Additionally, based this and our Maritime Program capability, Nova is an expert at Ship / Helicopter integration across the gamut of applicable aviation and maritime engineering, test and certification requirements.

Nova’s involvement in recent Helicopter acquisition projects includes support to the introduction into service of ARH Tiger under Air 87, the MRH90 under Project Air 9000 Ph2/4/6, acquisition planning activities for CH-47F under Air 9000 Ph5, and support to Air 9000 Ph8 during the RFT phase of the Future Naval Aviation Combat System Program. Nova has recently or is currently supporting engineering, test and logistics engineering activities for Army and Navy in-service helicopter types including Chinook CH-47D, Blackhawk, Squirrel and Seahawk helicopters.

Nova’s depth and technical expertise in Rotary Wing introduction into service is complementary to our clients’ aims to achieve effective operational capability.
